THE BACK S T O R Y:
Flight, focuses on skyscapes, some with retained land elements, such as trees and mountain silhouettes.  The inspiration behind the series is the obvious magic felt in watching birds fly glittering and silhouetted against the sun.  Freedom, peace and joy are present in their easy ability to rise against gravity.  As humans, we remain ground-fast except for with great artificial exertion: huge mechanical metal machines, death-defying leaps with silky parachutes, daring climbs to high peaks, stretched vertical buildings anchored deeply in the ground.  But, when you pause with solitary attention to watch flying, soaring, gliding birds, then, for a golden moment, a part of your soul travels too.  Impossibly, but definitely, you are soaring into the freedom of the sky.  Capturing this feeling is the intent of this series.
