THE BACK STORY:

In 2016, we moved across the country to the new-to-us land of the American West. We settled in, had a baby, and then another baby.  All the way, we explored and discovered this new home where our children will grow up.  This series is an exploration of the land and the emotions inspired by finding oneself perfectly at home in a new place.  Painting is a way for me to get to know and deeply understand the landscape that will make up my children's innate sense of place and populate their childhood memories.  This series is a celebration of What We Found after we took a leap of faith and started a new journey. Welcome home, to finding wonder exactly where you choose to be.
