Peaceful was painted from a trail view outside Ketchum near Sun Valley. It reflects a quieter kind of landscape experience. The hills remain still beneath a heavy sky while soft light settles across the grasses and wildflowers below.
There is very little urgency here. No strong wind, no dramatic movement, no sense of striving toward something beyond itself. The clouds rest over the mountains like a blanket while the meadow simply exists within the landscape, settled and content where it already is.
This painting holds onto the feeling of peace that can emerge in moments when nothing is asking more from you, when there is room to simply exist for a while, here and now.
